1 girl, 2 hands and 3 pans
A regular trader at the Letchworth Garden City Farmers' Market.
With 1 cooker, 2 hands and 3 pans Maya Pieris runs Four Seasons Preserves. Based at Waterhall Farm, Whitwell, Hertfordshire on the Bowes-Lyon estate, the childhood home of the late Queen Mother, she produces 3 different ranges of preserves.
Four Seasons Preserves which covers a wide range of marmalades, including the Great Taste Award winning Lime and Cardamom, and a variety of chutneys.
A Taste of History which is based on original recipes dating back to Ancient Rome and some of which are based on Maya’s own research.
Maya – the latest range of full flavoured Indian condiments which uses recipes from the 17th century to the 20th century again using some of her own research.
Everything is handmade and much is locally sourced – she uses chillies grown by Edible Ornamentals as well as lavender grown by Hitchin Lavender.
